We are…

a collective of housing associations who work in diverse neighbourhoods. We are committed to delivering new homes, regenerating our communities and playing our part in tackling the housing crisis. We work with policy holders and decision-makers to improve people’s lives through tackling housing inequality.

Black Lives Matter

We stand in support of the Black Lives Matter movement and have long campaigned against the widespread racial injustice faced by our community. We recognise that the issue of racism, surrounding the murder of George Floyd and others like him, is not simply specific to the US. The systemic racism faced by Black people in the UK is our collective responsibility to change and it is vital that we work to understand and acknowledge this to create a more equal future, both for our colleagues and customers.

Racial injustice in the housing sector in England has a long history and deep roots. Tackling this will be a focus of ours in the coming months.

To start things off we have arranged a joint webinar with the Housing Diversity Network on 3rd July – Black Lives Matter -What Can You Do?

One of the speakers Tracey Gore, Chief Executive of Steve Biko Housing Association pens here deeply personal thoughts on our blog page.
