The glittering awards ceremony now in its fifth year was held at the International Convention Centre Birmingham and recognised the contribution of individuals to the development and progress of the black community across the West Midlands.
Sharon Pennant, chief executive of CBLC, said: “The awards recognise the unsung heroes in the community who are working behind the scenes to make it a success. It is heart-warming to pat them on the back and say thank you and well done for the work they have been doing.
“The standard of entries was incredibly high this year, and it was very hard to pick winners from all those who were nominated. It is clear that throughout his career Llewellyn Graham has shown real business acumen rising to be chief executive of one the UK’s leading BME housing associations.
“The number of ‘firsts’ he has achieved is hugely impressive. Highly respected by his peers, and an inspiration to all those who work within his leading team, Llewellyn is a beacon example of achievement in business and a role model for every professional man or woman.”
Llewellyn Graham commented: “I am very pleased and honoured to win this award and would like to thank the team that support me both within Nehemiah UCHA and the Church without whom the great work we do would not be possible. I would also like to thank those who nominated me and I hope we can continue to maintain the high standards or work for another year.”
